Glass in Bloom

Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay is currently hosting one of the best exhibits that I have been to in recent memory. “Glass in Bloom” is an exhibit of glass sculptures by Dale Chihuly.

The first time that I saw a Chihuly Sculpture was at the Peter Kiewitt Institute at University of Nebraska Omaha. It was a large red sculpture very similar to one that was on display here at the Cloud Dome.

The current exhibit has 24 installations around the garden, including a mystery sculpture (“Boats”) at the Victoria Lily Pond. With current Covid-19 restrictions, attendance capacity is down to 25%. There are no crowds and it is a great time to go and experience this exhibit.

I recommend starting your visit around 5:00pm at the Flower Dome, and then working your way through the Cloud Dome, the Outdoor Gardens, and then the Bayfront Plaza.

“Glass in Bloom” will be on display through to 01 August 2021.
