I’d originally learned this piece 18 months ago and recorded it using a GoPro. There was nothing special about the production, with the GoPro’s on-body mic being used to capture the sound. Today evening, I decided to re-record this while feeding the audio through GarageBand. What I notice (beyond the quality of the sound) is the fluency of my hands. I took a resolution at the beginning of 2018 to practice playing the piano more often in a structured manner. This is my 4th piece this year that I have recorded after being sufficiently satisfied with the quality of the recording. Here’s to more pieces to be released later in the year.
